Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp coarse salt
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups blackberries

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F. In a blender, combine milk, eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, the flour, salt, and vanilla. Add melted butter; blend mixture until smooth, 30 seconds.
  2. Spread berries in a single layer in a pie plate or baking dish, and pour batter over top. Sprinkle with remaining tablespoon sugar, and bake until slightly puffed and just set in middle, 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm.
